Jayabharat Tribal 10 bedded Free Hospital

About The Initiative
In this 21st century, it is crucial to work with greater attention towards the poor, exploited, and tribal sections who often die of simple diseases due to poverty, ignorance, and lack of access to medical facilities.
These communities reside in small huts far from towns, working as agricultural coolies, laborers, and fishermen. During the tenure of Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Prime Minister, with the support of the then Union Minister for Rural Development, M. Venkaiah Naidu, and inaugurated by the then Minister of Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, this 10-bedded Tribal Hospital was sanctioned and established on 16th May 2003 in the premises of Jayabharat Hospital. The project was sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
The operational area of the hospital is 7 mandals of Nellore District. Hospital staff conducted house to house survey conducted in these 7 mandals and distributed Arogya Identity cards were given to a total of 13434 families.

Seemantham is a traditional ceremony conducted for pregnant ladies to bless them and create awareness regarding pregnancy and childbirth. On 16th August 2013, we organized a special Seemantham program where 161 pregnant women attended.
The response was overwhelming – pregnant women and their families were overjoyed with the blessings and knowledge shared. This program significantly increased hospital admissions for deliveries, with 20-30 deliveries now being conducted every month.
